French Kiss

In the spirit of the 60's & 70's typical soul music, French Kiss mellow tunes are all about love and sentimental moods. With a subtle blend of Rn'B & Modern Pop, The French Kiss first album entitled All is beginning describe the everyday love in the everyday life. This experience involves a variety of situations. From smiles to tears, a palette full of feelings paint their songs.

Their vision of a pop music tainted with the warm colours of soul, funk & Rn'B, offers to their first album All is beginning, a genuine, refined and moving set of songs. The French Kiss sound trademark is based on distinctive characteristics, including the use of 70's vintage keyboards with jazzy tones and chorus along with funky drums, a prominent groovy and often melodic bass line, a funky rhythm guitar à la Chic & a massive game of call and response by the brillant vocalist Dave Eastman & the French Kiss backing vocals originating in modern Rn'B music. No need to say that Christophe Alary conducted his brass section at his best to provide a bright and classy acid jazz touch to the album.

60's, 70's, 80's, actually the sound is not that vintage... The studio work and way to produce, the arrangement and the mixing style are definitly at the top of the music trends. For sure, it reminds a kind of oldschool soul but it's more than that. In the same manner as the famous Jamiroquai's "Blow your mind" referred to us a soulful vintage ballade, but broke through the modern music chart during the 90's grunge area, French Kiss delivers every ingredient of the pop-cookbook to attract the attention of an audience keen on modern Rn'B and hit-songs.

Curtis Byron (bass) & Oliver Bowman (guitar) actually studio players met Dave Eastman (vocal) four years ago during tracking sessions. A nice friendship was born and they still share the same vision of music, songwriting and producing since then. With the same taste and music culture, what could they do better than teaming up to write modern soul songs? This was the birth of French Kiss.

Seat back, and put the record on. Listen to the music, it's coming straight from their heart. It's time to enjoy the sweetness of the French Kiss experience.

All is Beginning...
